1. What Rapid42 does not collect
Axon does not send Rapid42 your normal chat history, prompts, model outputs, imported documents, selected photos, downloaded model files, advertising identifiers, location, or usage analytics. Axon has no account requirement and includes no third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK.
2. Information stored on your device
Chat history, app settings, imported context, and downloaded models are stored locally on your device. You control that data through Axon and Apple’s system storage controls. Deleting local content or uninstalling Axon removes data according to the operating system’s normal behavior.
3. Optional network features
Axon can be used for local chat without enabling web search. Some features necessarily contact services outside your device:
- Model downloads. When you choose to download a model, Axon contacts the displayed model host, such as Hugging Face. That host receives the normal information required for an internet request, which can include your IP address, request time, and the requested model files.
- Web search. When web search is enabled and used, Axon sends the search query—not your full chat history or model files—to one or more configured or built-in search providers until results are available. Depending on your settings and availability, providers can include Brave Search, public or user-configured SearXNG services, Bing, and DuckDuckGo. Their handling of the request is governed by their own policies.
- Page extraction. If you configure Firecrawl enrichment, Axon can send selected result URLs to that configured Firecrawl endpoint so it can return readable page content.
- Voice dictation. If you grant microphone and Speech Recognition permission, Axon uses Apple’s Speech framework. Depending on your device, language, and Apple settings, speech audio and transcription may be processed by Apple. Rapid42 does not receive that audio or transcript.
- Private Mac Link. If you explicitly connect Axon to your own Mac or private-network Axon server, the prompts and responses used for that session travel to that endpoint. Rapid42 does not proxy or receive them.
- Share and export. Content leaves Axon only when you use Apple’s share/export interfaces and choose a destination.
4. Tracking and advertising
Axon does not track you across apps or websites, does not build advertising profiles, and does not sell personal data.
5. Purchases
If Apple-managed purchases are offered, Apple processes payment and transaction information under Apple’s policies. Axon does not receive payment-card details.
6. Your choices
You can keep web search and voice dictation disabled, decline optional system permissions, remove local chats and models, and disconnect private endpoints. Because Rapid42 does not receive normal Axon chat data, it has no server-side copy of that content to retrieve or delete.
7. Policy updates
We may update this policy when Axon’s behavior or legal requirements change. The effective date below identifies the current version.
